Writing Project Pics

Hi Everyone. Thought I'd share some pics of those of us who were in Nashville before T-giving for the National Writing Project conference.

These were taken the night Suzie and Rachel arrived. We all met up with Jan & Claire for dinner and a drink on a spinning bar thing inside the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. It moved very slowly yet still managed to make me a little queasy.

Above, of course, are Suz and Lori. Lori and I spent Day 1 of the conference attending 1 session and then retiring in the afternoon for naps followed by shopping at the Opryland Mills Mega Outlet Mall with a quickie stop at the Grand Ole Opry for a picture or two.

Lori and I had quite the experience getting a little lost behind the Gaylord Orpyland Resort. Apparently, as we wandered behind the building in search of the secret sidewalk that would take us over to the outlet mall, our actions were picked up on the security cameras. A very nice man in a Gaylord Opryland truck pulled us over to see if we were alright, to notify us that we were spotted on the security cameras, and then proceeded to give us poor lost souls (Lori, Me, and some other poor lost traveler we picked up along the way) a ride to the Mall. We tried to get him to come back and pick us up later, but he gracefully declined. I wish I had a picture of that experience.
