Two Changes to the Pub's Décor
After the discussion of WebCT, blogs, etc, I figured I'd play around with the comment options here. Let me know what you think. First thing I think we'll all agree with...only people who belong to this blog will be able to comment. That should prevent "little johnny first-blog" from commenting just so we'll have to visit his blog to see who the hell he is.I also put the comments in a pop-up. Doesn't solve the problem of having the comments separate from the main message, but it might be nice to be able to see the message while you comment.
Anywho, let me know what you think and I'll change it back if you hate the change.
Cheers ya'll,
Lori O :)
P.S. Who's up for some drinking and live-blogging of the election on Tuesday?

Looks good to me.
We should set up a chat room for Tuesday. That would be a great way to chat about the different elections in our various areas. We could use any number of programs.

Hey Lori,
What I want to know is can you make that picture of the Killarney's awning a permanent fixture on the blog? Perhaps you could have it as the photo for the contributors with a small story about how this all started and what the blog's about etc. Or perhaps you could include the picture in the pg's banner/header somehow. : )
I like the other changes you've made too.

Yes, Yes and Yes I would like some live blogging on Tuesday! I will be late though because I must accompany the Sonia Sanchez to dinner with some other peeps from the department. Which only means I will be already a little buzzed. But yes, yes, yes!!!!

UGH! Deleted my comment!
Okay, so the popup window stays, I guess?
And Brad's ideas for the site's design are pretty much what I'd like to do too...problem is (problems are), the only picture I have of Killarney's was "acquired" from another site and is pretty dern grainy and dark. So if someone in town could take a few shots on a nice sunny day & send them to me...
Second problem is that I tend to get obsessive with these things, so I really can't start playing around with the site's appearance until Christmas break or I'll get no other work done...
BUT...I think I can give someone in the group the power to play around with the template here...or I could send you the html and you could create a practice site and play around with the template in a fake Killarney's site & once it's all set and beautiful, we could just change the template here...
Anyone want to play site designer for the good of the community? So that we can, once again, all meet under the Killarney's awning?
:)
