I heart YouTube!

Okay, so I have a new time-wasting obsession, just in time for the end-of-the-semester crunch -- has everyone joined the YouTube revolution? I've become a total addict. I've become particularly enchanted with watching old school videos from the 40's and 50's -- you know, the kinds of cheesy films we were subjected to in health class. I am now a real afficionado of the works of Sid Davis, educational film producer and Defender of America's Youth. Boys Beware is a particular favorite. :)

In a slightly different vein, I also recommend Kissing Hank's Ass, a cynical but pretty hilarious take on Christianity.

Enjoy!

I'm using Boys Beware for my 160 class next semester...the class theme is "The Rhetoric of Fear," so we're working our way up from those films...and some classics like "Teenage Crimewave," "Girl Gang," "The Narcotics Story," etc. Using a great book from 1999, /The Culture of Fear/.

Anywho, here are some of my favorites...mostly from Youtube:

For lighter fare, might I recommend a Mr. B Natural short from MST3K

P.S. My favorite comment from Mr. B:

"You know I think Oscar Wilde only wished he was this gay."

    :)
