AP Reading Call
Hey Everybody,
AP wants college level readers. The just sent a plea for current readers to recruit colleagues. Here's part of it:
As you are aware, the application process involves submitting an online Reader application as well as a copy of the applicant's curriculum vitae and syllabus. For further information and the application, please refer to the following Web page: apcentral.collegeboard.com/readers.
Applications for the Reading are accepted on a continual basis; please encourage your colleagues to submit an application as soon as possible to ensure consideration for the initial appointments to the 2007 Reading, which will be determined in late 2006. The College Board provides an honorarium of $1,450 for this service and covers all travel expenses, lodging, and meals.
The Language reading (what Marcy does) is still in Daytona. The Lit reading (what I do) has moved to Louisville, KY.

I went last year for the first time. Overall, a good time and I'd definitely do it again (with some slight modifications, of course - for more details on that, email me off the blog). Decent money for the week's work!

Nevermind... I just had to do a little digging on the web site you provided. Looks like the first and second weeks of June.
