Winter Descent

We have officially begun our descent into winter. Last week we noticed it getting a little chilly in the evening, so we put an extra blanket on the bed. This week we decided to take out our A/C window unit, as it wasn't getting warm enough during day to keep it in any longer. Yesterday we went around and closed up the storm windows, and now we are watching the snow approach on the radar. Yes, I said snow. It's timing is perfect with it arriving just hours after Mom and Dad Bloome.

We thought we had some time before we needed to gas up the snow blower, but maybe we need to move that up on our to do list. They aren't predicting any real accumulation, but still I think we should take this as a warning of things to come.

On the bright side, snow= skis!

We'll keep you posted.

Jim and I were up all night trying to figure out what to do if one or both of us got snowed in and couldn't make it to San Fran for the conference.

He was supposed to get 5-10 inches (and may have had that much without accumulation). I ended up driving to the airport in the stuff at 6 this morning. The plane had to be de-iced, but we both made it to California where the weather was lovely until late this afternoon...

Already hooked up with Marcea & met the famous Dr. Bill...

Ran into Will's friends Michelle and Wendy.

Long digression later, yes, snow here too.

Any word from our Denver folks?

I heard about this "running into Will's friends" ... nice ... I also got some crazy good gossip from CPTSC, but that's "not for here" ...

I envy your snow! I have rain in Atlanta today ... :-(
