Snow Report

How many of you have noticed the weather reports from Buffalo? Have you seen the pictures that look like this?

Yes, Buffalo got 2 feet of snow on Thursday night. Yes, Buffalo has been declared a state of emergency. Yes, a large portion of the city is going to be without power until Monday due to the heavy snow and the leaves still on the trees taking down almost 50% of the city's powerlines (see the next picture). And yes, Buffalo is only about 35 miles from our house.

So, one could reasonably think that we were snowed in here . . . but one would be wrong. We got a sprinkling of some very fine fluries that melted the minuted they touched the ground, but that was it (and we thought that midwest weather was wild). We have had quite a bit of wind, but other than that it's been good weather, with sunny skies for the Bloome's visit.

We just wanted to leave you with a contrast between our own weather and those of our neighbors in Buffalo. Fall and Winter separated by only 35 miles.

Well we would love to be snowed in but not this weekend. Susie's parents were here for a visit that was hard enough as it was. :) Actually it was a nice visit, just hard to keep them entertained.

    How is San Fran?

Yes, I forgot that you love the snow, so not exactly good news for you two.

San Fran was awesome! Pictures are forthcoming. The conference was really fabulous...exhausting, but wonderful.

    :)
