Home from San Fran
Hi All,
I'm back (finally) from the CPTSC conference in San Francisco. In all, a very nice time - thanks to Jim and Lori, and Dr. Bill of course. I can't say enough how glad I am that Jim and Lori were both there. It was so good to see them and they entertained me fabulously during the whole conference and especially on Saturday afternoon when the conference meetings, etc. were finally done and we were able to experience San Fran publc transportation. I know Lori will post pics of our trip for you all as she has the more modern camera.
I was sad Doc Savage couldn't be there to present with me on our research, but I think my session went ok. Thanks again to Lori and Jim for attending. Of course, the wonderful Dr. Bill was at the conference as well, and I was happy Lori and Jim could meet him and prove that I have not made him up.
As I said, I am home now after 3 flights (Oakland to Dallas to Chicago to Bloomington) and having now experienced lost luggage in Bloomington. At least the luggage made it ok to San Fran on the first trip. I can deal with it not being here. Of course the airlines called around 11 pm last night to let me know they located it (whatever that means?!) and will deliver it sometime this morning between 8 am-12 pm.
That's about it from this end. I'm waiting to hear about diss prop draft 3 from Savage so I know what kind of week I'll have. I'm taking a birthday trip on Friday (20th is my b-day) to Galena with Ken, so it'll be a busy week of getting things done before that.
Hope you're all well! Look for pics from Lori soon, I hope. No rush Lori. :-)

Gee, they're bringing it to you? Northwest must be changing their attitude! Everytime I've lost luggage with them (3 times in the last 18 mos alone), they've made me come to the airport.
And since there's generally only one person who works both the desk up front and the desk at the gate (they lock up the front 30 mins before any flight leaves), it's typically a long, long wait until someone meanders by to give you the luggage THEY lost!
Pictures coming soon!

I flew American Airlines, and they might be different from Northwest. Luggage arrived safely at 10:30 am this morning!
Hey - I forgot to tell Jim that I'm using the cat window perch that he made for Nikki and Brian. I can't attach the store-bought kinds to my apartment window, so Nikki lent me theirs. Tuck loves it! Tuck says thanks to Unkie Jim for his cat perch engineering skills!
