Happy Halloween

This year I was going to play it smart. This year I bought only candy that would tempt my nephew (who considers sour patch kids a delicacy) . No chance I'd be tempted to wreck my diet...and yes, those are gummy fangs and skull lollipops you see there.

And there are tons of kids in my neighborhood, so I stocked up...unfortunately, I didn't see as many as I expected. I made it through two bowls, but I'm still stuck with a giant bowl full of crap that's basically indigestible.

Meanwhile, I'm happy with my Leelanau Cellars "Witches Brew," a lovely little local red that they combined with mulling spices. Reminds me of a glass I had at S & R's last winter.
