Ann Richards...sob
So I'm flipping through the channels last night during commercials for Carter's interview on Larry King. Then flipping through during Project Runway commercials & Larry (who I generally hate) is running an old interview with Ann Richards. I think...not a good night for Bush. How odd that our right-wing sympathetic media would play both old liberals in one night.
Then in the times this morning "Ann Richards, Ex-Governor of Texas, Dies at 73." I'm so depressed. This is the woman who once said of Bush senior that he was "born with a silver foot in his mouth." And of (I think) Bush junior, "poor George, he was born on third base, but he thinks he hit a triple."
And, of course, she's the one who gave us: “Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did. She just did it backwards and in high heels.”
And her address to the Democratic convention in 1988...amazing!
I'm hoping crooksandliars or youtube will have a video of the speech up in the next few days.

The Ginger statement is my fav. I have always loved Ann Richards and am sad by her death, with he goes one hell of a woman!
