Shiny Happy (Killarney's) People Holding Blog

That's how I felt, anyway, upon opening the blog to see how many of us there are now. Imagine if we'd had this kinda turnout at the actual bar!

I'm stuck in Rochester for another day...found out if I wanted to get paid at the end of THIS month, I'd have to appear in person to fill out my I-9 right away. And I SO want to get paid this month.

So I'm heading up to the UP tomorrow after a quick stop in at school to prove I'm a citizen. My new place is nice enough, but I'm bored to death with unpacking (with only books left to unpack). I don't really need books, anyway, right? I mean, I've already read them and all...

Have hooked up the washer and dryer & done some laundry without incident (read: I'm shocked! Shocked I tell you, to discover that I was capable of hooking the d&%# things up without A. flooding the basement; B. catching the house on fire; C. completely screwing up the space/time continuum; or D. some nasty combination of all of the above).

Think I'll head out to the greenhouse down the street to see if I can pick up a poppy for Jim's garden.

I'm trying to get a little cottage garden started at his house, but I won't bore you with the details...because...you can listen to an audio discussion of my gardening struggles: go here, scroll down a bit, and click on "Interstate Plantings." I had some trouble hearing Deano over the phone, and clearly radio isn't my medium, but it was a hoot being on the show.

Cheers ya'll,
Lori O :)

P.S. to all the other road warriors out there (jeff and april, will and brent)...happy travels & let us know when you arrive safely!
