Perhaps a wave of homesickness...
Hi all,
It's really good to hear your voices all the way out here in Wenatchee. I didn't realize how much I missed everyone until I logged on to stories of bats and R. Tarr's liver and Welcome Back Days. I think I even miss Welcome Back Days a little bit. (Just a little bit) : )
It's hard to think that if I was still in B-N, I'd be tipping back a few tonight at Killarney's with some old and perhaps some new friends. What's even wierder is listening to everyone talk about starting classes and teaching when I won't start for almost another month, since we're on quarters out here.
Except for a yearning for a decent ear of corn or a decent peach or perhaps a Miller Lite draft, which no one out here has, things are grand. Jen and I still love this area, and it's starting to feel like home. But we really miss everyone.
Keep it coming, y'all.
Brad

If it makes you feel better (it makes me feel worse), Kilarney's appears to be a thing of the past....sniffle....

Brad I just told a story about you yesterday and I got a little homesick myself. THe prof across the hall gave me a nickel so I could get a soda and I said 'I'll bring you a nickel tomorrow" and then started laughing and had to tell him the story of you giving me, I think 13 cents and me saying I would pay you back without thinking about it and we all started laughing. I think that joke carried on for a while when you started changing me interest, 1/2 a penny a week?
Anyway, just wanted to let you know that we all think about the fun times! But it's awesome we have this blog!
Love and miss ya
Jess

Brad and Jen,
We miss you guys like crazy. We met a new couple last night at a dinner and we did what we always do . . . compared them to you guys.
"Think he could be a like a Brad?" "Does she remind you of Jen?"
You'll be happy to know, no one has ever measured up!

I'm so sad Killarney's may be a thing of the past...
maybe what we really need is a yearly Killarney's reunion at some lovely local...like NY wine country or Denver...
And we could easily bring Miller Lite to the reunion for those in (ahem) "Other" beer regions!
